For some 50 years, Prof. Bernie Gordon has owned and operated The Book & Tackle Shop. His bookstore contains over 50,000 antiquarian books, on all subjects including fishing, boating, religion, children's books, sporting, and rare and antique books.
Prof. Gordon has authored 16 books including: "Man and The Sea" and "Hurricane in Southern New England". He has also written several books on extinct animals including "If an Auk Could Talk", "There Really Was a Dodo", and "Once There Was a Giant Sea Cow". An avid photographer since high school, he takes many of the photographs that appear on postcards he publishes; more than 200 scenes of coastal Southern New England.
